Our seven homes are located in the East Midlands, and we pride ourselves on providing excellence in children’s residential care.
We are passionate about providing authentic care in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment from which the young people can fulfil their potential. Our pragmatic approach to care and education, allows us to tailor the plans for our children to their individual needs.
We believe that the young people that we are fortunate enough to care for, should have a direct involvement in formulating their care plans.

TCM is a developing organisation, which aims to provide high standards of care and accommodation for children and young people across the United Kingdom.
Experienced residential supports workers at Total Care Matters place young people at the centre of their work and strive to create the best residential experience for them. Although we do not emphasise a single theoretical model, our practice is informed by both psychodynamic and learning theory, rooted within a residential culture that places great value on caring, openness, honesty and encourages staff to be inquisitive and to search for the meaning or reason behind behaviour.

Total Care Matters works closely with the Independent Children’s Homes Association (ICHA).
ICHA work to provide information and networking opportunities for companies working in the independent sector and running residential children’s homes.
Our Services
We provide a range of specialist support services for young people and a range of therapies. Our specialist services are targeted at young people who have experienced severe trauma.
Our therapeutic sessions are arranged weekly or more frequently and typically last 60 minutes
Total Care Matters place young people at the centre of our work and strive to create the best residential experience for them. We promote appropriate personal relationships between staff and young people. Working with nurture and structure we aim to equip young people in our care with the knowledge and skills to make informed choices.
We enable and support young people to move onto positive outcomes, which may involve a return to a family setting, foster care or taking up a place in the wider community.
