Celebrating Our Team’s Dedication

At Total Care Matters, we are proud of the unwavering commitment and compassion our teams show every single day. This page is a tribute to the outstanding work they do—and a space to showcase the appreciation shared by the professionals who work closely with us, as well as the children we support. Below are just a few examples of the powerful feedback we’ve received from external providers recognising the exceptional care and trauma-informed practices delivered by all our homes. You'll also find messages and reflections from the children themselves.

"During the young person’s transition into our placement, the support from Ashleigh House was exceptional. The staff and management clearly knew the young person well and provided us with in-depth insights far beyond the usual paperwork. Their input made the transition seamless. I’m truly grateful to the whole team for their dedication and support."

From a Home Manager (receiving the young person into their care):
“The team at Holly View are deeply committed to a trauma-informed approach. They prioritise safety, connection, and positive relationships, tailoring support to each young person’s needs using DDP/PACE principles. The trust they’ve built is evident in the way young people feel safe to share their experiences — a true testament to the team’s exceptional dedication.”

"When I moved into Maple View at 15, I was nervous and unsure. But thanks to the incredible staff at Total Care Matters, I quickly felt at home. They taught me essential life skills — from cooking and budgeting to gaining independence through ‘trust time.’ This support made my transition to Semi-Independence after turning 16 so much easier. Looking back, my time at Maple View truly felt like home. I wouldn’t change a thing, and the care and guidance I received gave me the confidence to build my own future — and today, I have my own place because of it. To any young person entering Total Care Matters, know that the support is there to help you achieve your goals — it might be a rollercoaster at times, but it will be worth it."

"Fair View is great at supporting us with mental health, school, family, and relationships. They try to organise activities during the holidays so we have things to do. They make sure we're okay, help us with what we want and need, and support all of our individual needs. They understand when we need space and give us opportunities to try new things."

From THE LOCAL AUTHORITY
"Ashleigh House is an incredible setting—exactly the kind of place I would have wanted at that age. The staff are warm, friendly, and clearly have a strong rapport with the young person currently in their care. I genuinely cannot fault them."

From a Social Worker
“Willow View is a lovely home with a relaxed, positive environment and is maintained to a good, clean standard. The Manager and one or two other staff members came in to say hi and just keep an eye on things. There appears to be good relationships with staff judging by the banter with the young person. Cannot comment on weather the young person gets to do chores, cook and do his own washing ect. But I can sense it’s a place where he feels safe. I feel like he needs more challenges such as learning to engage with his peers”

From a young person’s English Tutor
“I believe Fair View to be a very caring and safe place. All staff at Fair View who I have had any contact with clearly care and show compassion. Staff are strong advocates for the young person and ensure their voice is heard when they are not able to or present in professional meetings. Whilst there are still struggles with engagement in attendance, Fair View are supporting this and remain open to suggestions and strategies from other professionals.”
